Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord

Does God really fight our battles today or is it just something that God did in the olden days?

Take a moment to really think about that..... Do we have faith, I mean real actual tangible faith, that God IS CAPABLE of fighting our battles and that He WILL FIGHT THEM?

Moroni recorded some words of his father Mormon, who answered his own question when he asked if miracles have ceased, he said:

Moroni 7:37 ...Nay; for it is by faith that miracles are wrought; and it is by faith that angels appear and minister unto men; wherefore, if these things have ceased wo be unto the children of men, for it is because of unbelief, and all is vain.
Let us have "faith and doubt not" Matthew 21:21. During my scripture study I came across these verses:

2 Chronicles 20:15, 17, 29
15 ...Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.

29 And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel.  https://www.lds.org/scriptures/ot/2-chr/20?lang=eng

As I read the words, "stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord," it reminded me of another time in scripture where Moses used these same words before parting the Red Sea.

Exodus 14:13-14
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Here are two powerful examples of the Lord fighting the battles for His children. If we need more than these, search the scriptures and you will find hundreds of examples. It all comes back though, to the question, Do we have faith, real actual tangible faith, that God IS CAPABLE of fighting our battles and that He WILL FIGHT THEM? Let's raise the bar of our faith, and be even better disciples of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For I am of the belief that we will need as great faith as any disciple that lived before us to faithfully endure the trials that we will be called to pass through, in these last days.
