Living below our potential

This is a great article and one you should really take time to read and ponder. https://friendsofunblog.wordpress.com/2015/11/29/help-thou-my-unbelief/

As I listened to this article, the below video and talk came to my mind. We really do need to step up our game so that we are not living below our potential and our privileges.

Ever since I was young and heard about having my calling and election made sure, my heart has deeply desired to have my calling and election made sure. As I have got older, it seems that my belief in this regard has struggled. It is time for us to break the bands of unbelief that we hold onto and embrace that we can achieve any level of righteousness if we desire it and work toward it. My favorite quote of all time is a reminder of this:

Joseph Smith
"We consider that God has created man with a mind capable of instruction, and a faculty which may be enlarged in proportion to the heed and diligence given to the light communicated from heaven to the intellect; and that the nearer man approaches perfection, the clearer are his views, and the greater his enjoyments, till he has overcome the evils of his life and lost every desire for sin; and like the ancients, arrives at that point of faith where he is wrapped in the power and glory of his Maker, and is caught up to dwell with Him."

To sum up my thoughts, let's just be believing and the Lord will bless us with knowledge and one day with His presence and will at that day give us our calling and election made sure.
